I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. I graduated from Georgetown University in 1982 with a BS degree in Language Arts and received my MA degree in Journalism at New York University in 1990. I completed my Masters degree in Counseling Psychology at National University in 1995 and worked with dual diagnosis at Proyecto Primavera from 1995 to 2002. I am licensed by the Board of Behavioral Sciences in California, license number MFC35420.

My previous clinical experience includes eight years in the counseling field and certification in Duluth Model Batterer's Intervention.

I joined the Permanente Medical Group in 2002 as a Case Manager.

I am currently a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.

My hobbies/interests include yoga, drumming and tai chi chih.

My special clinical interests include recovery for adults molested as children and dual diagnosis patients.

I speak some Spanish in addition to English.

I am currently working on my clinical PhD from Saybrook Graduate School in San Francisco.
