My Philosopy

I believe having a personal relationship with my patients is essential in providing the best care possible. Constant communication with my patients and the Hematology/Oncology team is one of my top priorities when caring for my patients, as well as dedicating myself to researching and providing the best solution and treatment for each individual patient.

Biography

I was born and raised in Hong Kong. I was educated in the United States. I received my undergraduate degree from Indiana University in 1973. I received my Medical Degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago, Illinois in 1978. After medical school, I completed my pediatric internship and residency at Milwaukee Children’s Hospital. I subsequently completed a fellowship in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at the University of Chicago.

I have worked for the Kaiser Permanente Medical Group for the last twelve years. I believe that the team approach will provide the best care for my patients. I work closely with all the members of the hematology-oncology team so that my patients will not only receive the best medical care possible but also feel that they are personally cared for. In addition, I am a member of the Children’s Oncology Group and in 2008 was honored to receive the. I can also speak Cantonese. My medical interest is Cancer Genomics.

On a personal note, I am married and have three children. In my free time, I enjoy reading and golf.
