Hello, Saludos: I am pleased to offer my home page as a means to introduce myself.

What is my background?

I am originally from a sleepy little town called Guasave (Mexican town right next to Mazatlan). When I was about eight years old, my family immigrated to and settled in a Southern California coastal town called Oxnard. From early on, my family instilled in us a strong sense of family, culture, work ethic and the pursuit of the highest goals.

As such, I searched for a career that would translate those ideals into a profession that could have a significant communal impact. Becoming and being a bilingual/bicultural Internal Medicine board certified physican has been a rewarding choice. Although there are no 'perfect' health plans, I decided to join Kaiser Permanente because I truly believe that it is the closest to this ideal in delivering high quality medical care.

Why I Chose Internal Medicine

My specialty encompasses physicians that focus on taking care of adults from the age of 18 and over. My duties include taking care of patients in the medicine clinic, rounding in the hospital on admitted patients, and admitting patients to the hospital thru the Emergency Department. Having this broad range and depth of training makes me a well-rounded physician and better able to address all of your needs.

How to Reach Me/ Make Appts/ Med Refills

See the office hours and links on this home page. All of our appointments are made by calling our Call Center or online. Please be aware that at times I may not be in clinic (as noted above; I may be doing other duties) but there are always colleagues that are available to take care of any cross-covering needs.

My Hobbies

I love listening to all types of music, enjoy sports, reading and 'hanging' with my 'familia'.

I look forward to forging a partnership with you in helping your health to THRIVE!

Salud

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
