Biography

Dr. Chi graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biochemistry at the University of California, Davis, then obtained a Doctor of Optometry Degree at the Ohio State University College of Optometry. Thereafter, she pursued her interest in optometric care for the visually impaired patients by completing a University of California Berkeley-Affiliated Optometric Residency in Low Vision and Primary Care at the Western Blind Rehabilitation Center and Optometry Clinics of Palo Alto Veterans Hospital in California.

Dr. Chi joined Kaiser Permanente in 2002 and provides comprehensive optometric care including contact lenses. She also provides specialty care for low vision patients along with pediatric and geriatric eye exams.

She is board-certified by the California State Board of Optometry in the treatment and management of ocular diseases. She also serves as an optometric consultant, and mentors student interns at the Palo Alto Veterans Hospital Optometry Clinics.

She is a member of the American Optometric Association, California Optometric Association, Santa Clara County Optometric Society, and American Academy of Optometry.

Dr. Chi speaks Chinese (Mandarin), English and some French. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, cooking, and playing piano.
