This is a resource for you to get questions and information about common pediatric problems via the internet 24 hours a day.

About Me

Thanks for checking out my webpage! For me, entering the field of medicine was a natural step, as I have always felt it was my calling. I have always loved being around and taking care of children. Despite what life may throw at them, children have an amazing ability to pick themselves up and enjoy life’s simple pleasures.

Here is some information about me and other resources that will help you get acquainted with our department:

I have lived in the Bay Area for most of my life, and I attended UC Berkeley as an undergraduate. I then went to medical school at New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY in 2004. I completed my pediatric training at Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Los Angeles, CA. I am board certified in Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics.

In 2004, I joined Kaiser Permanente and am proud of our 60-year history of providing high quality, evidence-based medicine. One of the reasons I stayed with Kaiser after completing my residency was because I can focus on my patients without having to worry about insurance authorizations and paperwork. This is also a great environment to work in since we have so many excellent physicians working within the same integrated system, and I can easily call on the expertise and experience of my colleagues should any of my patients need specialty care. Another benefit to practicing at Kaiser is the emphasis on preventive care. As most of you know, to thrive, you must maintain your health. I therefore strongly encourage my patients to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle or exercising and eating healthy, no matter what age you may be!

Technology continues to advance at an amazing pace, and I am proud that Kaiser Permanente has taken a leadership role in this area. If you are reading this, I hope you have signed up for kp.org. By doing so, you will be able to utilize all of the benefits that this website has to offer. This includes a wealth of information for our patients, being able to book routine appointments online, requesting refills of your medications online (you can even have them mailed to you, you never have to leave your house or pick up a phone!), and very soon, you will be able to e-mail your doctor as well.

On a more personal note, I have recently transferred to the Milpitas facility from Santa Clara Homestead to be closer to my family. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my daughter and relatives. When I have the luxury to do so, I also enjoy going to the movies, hiking, and working out. However, even snuggling up with a good book under my nose will keep me occupied for hours!

An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
