Welcome to My Home Page!

I began practicing as a physical therapist in 1973 in Hong Kong. Then I practiced in Canada for 8 years before I moved to the USA. I choose physical therapy as my career becaue I enjoy helping people to recover and regaining their health. I enjoy my work very much because I worked with a multi-disciplinary team. Kaiser Permanate has been a great place to work because of the huge amount of resources within our system and vast opportunities for specialization.

I believe the path of rehabilitation is a 2 way journey. I will provide the best care to my patients and I also expect committment and full participation from my patients. I believe the human body functions as one unit, if one part of the body is affected, it will have influence in other parts of the body as well. In addition to speaking English, I am bilingual in Chinese (mainly in Cantonese and somewhat in Mandarin).

Besides working as a physical therapist, I enjoy outdoor sports such as white water rafting, biking and skiing.

My Education and Credentials

Undergraduate Education Physiotherapy Diploma, Hong Kong Government School of Physiotherapy
Undergraduate Education BS, Physical Therapy, University of Toronto, Canada
Licensure Licensed Physical Therapist in California, Canada and Hong Kong.
Post Graduate Training Manual Therapy - including different osteopathic techniques, visceral mobilization, and craniosacral techniques
Certification Certified in Acupressure for Chronic Pain Management

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
